Proud to make a week of it!
At dlc, we turned from debt collectors in the day to collecting for charity at night! Sport Relief week at dlc was a fantastic experience finishing on the Friday night with over 200 volunteers taking more than 5000 calls and collecting over £160,000 in donations.
Volunteers were kept entertained by a disco and karaoke and our restaurant was transformed into a games room for the night. Refreshments were laid on by our caterers to keep everyone going through until the early hours.
During the week we held a number of events including a sports quiz, a sponsored hair cut and an inter-department netball tournament which raised an amazing £1,875 for Sport Relief. Local companies were very generous and provided lots of fabulous prizes which we raffled on the night.
The evening was topped off by a visit from actor, Patrick Robinson who helped out on the phones and drew the raffle. All in all we were very proud to support Sport Relief 2008 and look forward to taking part again!
